Chesney Hawkes was on the brink of tears during Celebrity Big Brother following a harsh comment from Ella Rae Wise. In this week's nominations, the celebrities were required to announce their nominations face-to-face.
While some managed to do so without any emotional upheaval, others were left feeling upset. Ella decided to nominate singer Chesney, alleging that he was present when Mickey Rourke made an inappropriate sexual remark towards her. She further stated that she felt Chesney should have defended her in that situation.
In a chat with American star JoJo Siwa, Chesney became emotional as JoJo suggested that Ella's comment was delivered in a "bad tone."
Chesney described it as "pretty mean," while JoJo speculated that the reality star was attempting to provoke Chesney, reports the Mirror.
Chesney expressed: "She was upset and she was angry and she kind of took it out on me, unfairly, I would say. I think the comment she made about me was the harshest one in that room to be honest. She questioned my being a man and not standing up for her.

"That's not a little flick, that's a low blow," JoJo commented. The American star comforted Chesney, assuring him that he was a "good man" as the singer appeared distressed.
Speaking in the Diary Room, Chesney admitted: "I'm a bit rattled to be honest, it's mainly Ella's nomination for me and what she said that has kinda upset me. The fact that she called me out and said I should have stood up felt a little bit harsh.
"I understand she was upset, she was probably lashing out. I feel like I have been protective of her." But Ella later sought to address the issue, telling Chesney "a little protection would have been nice".
To which he replied: "I'm a protective father of three. They're your age, the kids. It would absolutely kill me if you thought I wouldn't be a man."

Ella was reduced to tears following remarks from Hollywood icon Mickey before his exit from the house. During a challenge, Ella announced: "I have instructions for us all. We're not allowed in the bedroom, no one is allowed to touch the crisps or sweets," to which Mickey retorted: "I don't like them."
Ella then urged him: "You've got to come with me!" His response left everyone stunned, as he said: "Come in you?" Drag Race celebrity Danny Beard, aged 32, quickly reprimanded him, saying: "Mickey, you can't make them jokes."
Subsequently, Ella confided in the diary room: "He's making me feel on edge. I'm a young girl. I'm not a piece of meat. He's making people feel so uneasy."
In the latest episode, The Only Way Is Essex star Ella found herself in tears after Big Brother called her out for flouting a significant rule.

During a heart-to-heart with children's TV presenter Angellica Bell, Ella expressed her fears saying: "I feel like I'll be next up because who else would it be. JoJo and Chris won't put each other up, Jack won't put Chris or JoJo up and Chesney won't put either of them up. They're not going to put Danny up are they or Donna, do you know what I mean? Or you."
She confided: "If it was me I'll be honest, I'd be quite happy, I've had enough now, I'm happy to go home and get back to normal life."
Her candid remarks landed her in hot water with Big Brother, resulting in her being dispatched to the garden jail. While serving her time, she was visibly upset as she endured her sanction for the infraction.
After her indiscretion came to light, she admitted to her fellow contestants that she was prepared to leave the house.
